After displaying signs of improved life at the beginning of the month, Marlton real estate unfortunately settled back into same doldrums they've been displaying for the previous few months. Across the board statistics showed decreased activity that mimicked trends across Burlington County. Sold transactions were down about 9% from 2010, but new listings for the month of March were down over 30% and the number of pending properties were down over 40%. It also appears that the stubbornness of sellers that I mentioned a month ago is still continuing. In the face of the rough sales numbers the average listing price in March was $35,000 higher than last year. Average sold prices and days on market both showed minor drop offs. As the selling season settles in I'm hopeful that improved employment numbers translate into market improvement.
